This is more a blueprint than a recipe, and the same proportions can be made with other dark spirits (i.e. dark rum, bourbon, or blended whiskey). This is also a great drink to tinker with different brandies, seasonal fruit, and sweeteners. Some recipes only have the fruit as a garnish, but I like to muddle some into the bottom of the glass prior to adding the crushed ice.
Brandy Cobbler Cocktail Recipe

- Seasonal fruit muddled and as garnish (think berries, soft stone fruit, citrus)
Muddle fruit in a wine (careful) or rocks glass. Add brandy and simple syrup, and stir. Fill with crushed ice, and add garnish.

Muddle oranges and sugar in a mixing glass. After muddling, add sherry and ice then shake well. Strain into a High Ball glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish the Sherry Cobbler with seasonal berries and mint. Enjoy with a straw.
Pineapple Whiskey Cobbler Recipe, by DrinkLab
- 3/4 oz Orange Curacao liqueur
- 2 oz Whiskey
- 1 oz Water
Muddle a skinless pineapple wedge, one slice of orange, and one wedge of lemon with orange Curacao and water in the bottom of a bar glass. Add whiskey and ice. and shake well. Strain into a double old-fashioned glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with remaining fruit, but don’t go overboard (it’s a drink, not a snack).
